November – 40mm Down, Greens Unphased – 2025

Over 40mm of rain fell in just 12 hours — yet here we are, with our cultural work really paying off.

The first photo above shows a green with a tiny surface puddle after a short lull in the rain. In the second photo not nearly an hour after a break in rain, and there’s no puddling at all. The staff are out inspecting the surfaces and they are firm, true, and rolling beautifully while still holding excellent green speeds despite the downpour.

This is exactly why we invest in aeration, drainage, and consistent cultural practices. While others are dealing with waterlogged surfaces, our greens are performing at championship quality.

It’s been a wet November, but the greens are resilient, playable, and in excellent condition for this time of year.
